Sarah Clower Keathley was raised in Dallas and Rockwall Counties and graduated from Rockwall High School. Sarah and her family had the unique experience of also residing in Austin when her father, Senator Ron Clower, served in the Texas Legislature. Sarah graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, and received her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio in 1994. In 1999, Sarah founded Keathley & Keathley law firm in Corsicana with her husband, Steve, and their general community law practice continues today.
Sarah was the State Bar of Texas Board Director for District 2 representing Navarro and 15 counties in East and Central Texas. She served on the State Bar’s Family Law Council 2018-2023, and is President of the Navarro County Bar Association. Sarah is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Sarah was appointed to the State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education Committee, and will serve as Chair 2024 - 2025.
In 1994, Sarah began her legal career working as Assistant General Counsel of the General Services Commission in Austin. In 1995 she joined the Law Office of John J. Ezell in Dallas where her focus of practice was family law. In 1996, Sarah married Steve A. Keathley and moved with him to his hometown, Corsicana, Texas. Sarah joined the Law Office of Kerri Anderson Donica, and began her general community practice in Navarro and surrounding counties. Sarah’s law firm, Keathley & Keathley, handles family law, mediation, collaborative law, wills, probate and estate planning, real estate, personal injury, criminal and civil litigation. Sarah is a credentialed mediator with the Texas Mediators Credentialing Association, a member of Texas Association of Mediators, and she is trained in Collaborative Law.
Sarah has had the distinct pleasure and honor presenting at various continuing legal education seminars across the State for the State Bar of Texas, including the Family Law, REPTL, and Alternative Dispute Resolution sections, and the Annual Judicial Education Conference.
Sarah serves as a member of the Navarro College Foundation Board of Directors and the Corsicana Chamber Area Foundation Board of Directors. Steve and Sarah are the parents of Luke and Kate: Luke is a 2L law student at St. Mary’s University School of Law, and Kate is a 1L law student at Hamline Mitchell School of Law.
